Please vote for me at Enterprise Nation for some funding for a decent website! My aim is to upgrade this blog to a proper website that will offer a service where you can buy directly from me, and which will incorporate a blog and updates on new shows and exhibitions.

Thanks very much in advance!

Jewellery at The Bluecoat Display Centre, Liverpool

Posted in News on October 3, 2011 by clareknoxbentham

A new collection of my jewellery will be on display at The Bluecoat Display Centre in Liverpool in an exhibition ‘Cultivate’ between 26th November 2011 and 14th January 2012.

For this exhibition The Bluecoat have invited 12 contemporary jewellers to respond to the work of printmaker Angie Lewin whose work is inspired by plants and gardens. Angie Lewin’s prints will form part of the exhibition to complement the jewellery and vice versa.

Jewellers include Alan Ardiff, Laura Baxter, Jessica Briggs, Shona Carnegie, Paul Finch, Catherine Hills, Julia MacGregor, Ruth Praill, Nikolay SardamovSimone Salandini,  Ruth Tomlinson and me.

I had a fabulous time at Origin last week, meeting some amazing makers such as my immediate stand neighbours Bea Jareno, Rachel Gornall, Sandy Layton and Inhee Jeon, talking to lovely visitors/buyers and basking in some amazing feedback. Here are some photos of the work at the show.

(A red dot indicates that the work is sold. If you are interested in commissioning a similar piece, please contact me at c-knox@earthling.net)
